the last dance

It was a beautiful day and I just looked out from my window near the pond . The monsoon shower had just stopped . Droplets of rain were still clinging on the green leafage of the plumeria tree . I could not resist to divert my eyes from the ecstatic view  I had to capture the scene.

This spontaneous thought had turned into an action and the result was just like a poetry ; full of passion and an ever lasting memory .

In that memory , I am attempting this verse in the form of a tanka .

plumeria blossoms

your wild caper teaches me

immortality ;

you won’t be here tomorrow

is this your last lesson for me .
