autumn leaves

Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge Month May 9th “autumn leaves turn red” by Georgia (a.k.a. Bastet)

Georgia , a k a Bastet is a wonderful poetess ; her works are always original and always clasiical , never missing a kigo or a kiregi ! I still remember how she promoted SANGAI – an endangered deer with brows in its antler . ….

now , here is my attempt to heighten the haiku of Georgia with my tan renga …

a dream in a dream
sand slipping through old fingers
autumn leaves turn red

the careless wind sweeps away
youth’s dream along with the leaves

Soliloquy no Renga “autumn night”

Carpe Diem Tokubetsudesu #78 Soliloquy no Renga “sutumn night” by Santoka Taneda

Aki noyo ya inu kara morattari neko ni ataetari

Autumn night–
I received it from the dog
And gave it to the cat.

© Santoka Taneda

here is my   Soliloquy no Renga  inspired by the above haiku :

the big moon
now above the dry branches
an autumn  blossom

near the lake
chirps of cicadas

from the far west
smell of burning pine logs
salty eyes

small ripples in the lake
teardrops in the clear water

the moon dances
along with the dry branches
a melancholic note

the tune  from her bamboo flute
when the moon is a blossom .
