thunder in the sky
thirsty throats listen with awe
sterile clouds of rain

tearless monsoon cries
looking at the dusty leaves
uninvited guest

the parched earth hugs lives
humming a quiet lullaby
time tests her often .

If only one heard the musical pitter-patter at the end of all those cries and pleas for rain, nicely worded Milan. I hope monsoon soothes the parched earth soon.
